2021 – 2022 Summer Projects and Supply Lists

Kindergarten

Alphabet Book: Students will use the Alphabet book template to create an alphabet book about any subject of their choosing. They need to be sure to write the capital and lowercase letter on the specified letter page, as well as draw pictures associated with the corresponding letter (students may trace if need be!)

Number Book: Students will complete the counting, coloring, and tracing activities in the math packet.

1st Grade

ABC About ME Book: Students will use the Alphabet template to make an ABC book all about them! Be sure to include colorful and fun images.

3D Shape Wanted Poster: Students will choose one 3-D shape and create a wanted poster for this shape. The poster will include the name of the shape, a drawn picture of the shape, attributes of the shape, and real-world examples (clippings from magazines or images printed from the internet) in the "Recently seen as" section.

For all summer reading activities, students are to choose ONE book from the list of options (according to the grade they will enter in the 2021-2022 school year) and then complete an activity from the "Creative Alternatives to Book reports" activity for the book they chose.

Create your own Lemonade Stand: Students will be responsible for managing a lemonade stand including pricing and advertising.

Representing Multiplication in Multiple Ways: Students will use the template to show several different ways to display one multiplication equation. Students will also cut out and create all the "cootie catchers" for multiplication practice for facts 2-12.

Exponent Clock: Students will use their knowledge of exponents to create exponents to represent numbers on a clock. Students will then create a physical or digital version of their exponent clocks.
